Substacker-in-chief, Ben Odell is the CEO of 3Pas Studios and a producer who’s done it all—scripted, unscripted, TV, film, and docs. He’s got two Sundance wins, an Emmy nom, and a knack for building hits and audiences. Now he’s figuring out where legacy media meets the creator economy—and bringing you along for the ride.

Substacker, head researcher, and editor-at-large, Mitch Camarda comes from the music world, where he worked in concert production, artist development, and touring negotiations. He met Ben in his Columbia University film class (Mitch is currently completing his MFA in Film) and now spends his time tending to Open Gardens, keeping the weeds out and making sure this Substack grows—in substance and audience.

Substacker, researcher, and editor, Fernando Morett is a reformed finance bro turned producer. After cutting his teeth at J.P. Morgan—first in U.S. Equities, then in the Real Estate Investment Group—he traded spreadsheets for scripts and is now finishing his MFA in Creative Producing at Columbia. He met Ben as an intern at 3Pas Studios and is now dedicated to nurturing Open Gardens, helping it grow into a go-to space for filmmakers and executives making sense of the industry’s wild new frontier.
